General Manager: Operations, NZ Housing Foundation
Dominic is the General Manager of the Housing Foundation which is a not for profit social enterprise focused on delivering affordable housing solutions. The Housing Foundation is unique in NZ for what it does and achieves, being both a developer of affordable housing and an innovator in the supply of affordable housing products for low income households in Auckland and New Zealand. He has spent over 30 years working in the private, government and the not-for-profit housing sectors in both NZ and the UK.
In the UK he oversaw and managed several large scale redevelopment and new development affordable housing developments. He was also responsible for the delivery of the UK”s first privately owned (by a Housing Association) University Halls of residence. In New Zealand Dominic has been responsible for implementing and delivering a wide range of affordable and social housing programmes and policies for central and local government and for the last 10 years for the Housing Foundation. One of Dominic’s main areas of focus in his role is to oversee the planning and delivery of new affordable housing developments and ensuring they supply the affordable housing that communities need, which frequently requires partnering with other community housing providers, Iwi and government.
